St Clare’s School assess and measure students progress in all subject areas.
To track pupils progress and their development, each subject area has its own set of criteria that they track against. You can find these criteria in the documents below.
Each subject records each students developmental progress in their subject area. This information is then used to produce a numerical Level (or Stage) that the student is working against compared to the St Clare’s criteria.
These levels, or stages, are numerical range from 0 – 6, with these broken down into tenths (e.g 1.1, 1.2, 1.3…).
EXAMPLE 1: A student who has been assessed as developing securely the knowledge of half of the content of Level 1 (or stage 1) will typically receive a Level of 1.5.
EXAMPLE 2: A student who has been assessed as developing securely the knowledge of one tenth of Level 1 in a subject area will typically receive a Level of 1.1
